There's quite a lot of other stuff in the forbidden city to the west of that garden, including a "dress up" venue where you, too, can take pictures looking like the emperor and his servants (or concubines, if that rocks your boat). This is where the group parted ways again, with my roomate and his friends going to play dress up, while the rest of us headed on out.
