Two way hutong traffic. Hutong means alley in Beijing, by the way, but it also refers to the old neighborhoods that were ubiquitous in Beijing until a few years ago. Now only six will be preserved, including this one. The original meaning is derived from being adjacent to the lakes like Houhai, so perhaps demolition elsewhere restores a little more meaning to the term.
