At the eastern side of campus, XueYuanNanLu switches from a tree-lined European street to a big, wide American-style expressway. There are some fancy and tasty restaurants down this way at the overpass just ahead, though. This is also a good spot to catch the bus down to the subway (or the 22 all the way to Tian'anmen...but only do that in the morning on a weekend, otherwise the traffic is nightmarish on Xinjiekouwai).
